Hello,
I’ve been discussing for at least 1 week with people from Verio in order to have my Personal Domain name point to the Blogger site I’ve done.
I first followed the CNAME creation process as decribed on Blogger.
As it did not work I searched different solutions on the web. But didn’t really find a good solution.
Finally I cannot resolve the problem with Verio.
Has anyone a solution?

Thanks, this actually worked for us (after a day of waiting for it to kick in). We host our domain name through Verio and were trying to map a new website we made through Google Sites.

We changed our CNAME to “www” in the name field, and changed the data field to “ghs.l.google.com.”. Before, when we changed the data field to ghs.google.com, the site would stop working. When we changed it to ghs.l.google.com. , the site would still work, but there was no change. It still went to our original page. I checked it out the next day, and it started working and pointed to our google site.

Hi, I am using a Mac OSX, and every time I start Firefox it tries to connect secretly to : ghs.l.google.com on (IP Address: 74.125.113.121) I do not know why since I haven’t click yet on any link or bookmark, something is apparently phoning home and I am wondering if it could be a Firefox add-on, or something else. I have installed on my Mac the Little Snitch application which adverts you of any outgoing connection. My question is: If I should block the connection permanently using Little Snitch to ghs.l.google.com since it seems to be an unauthorized connection. I am not a user of Google apps, and I have no idea why Firefox is trying to connect to ghs.l.google.com. Is it possible that some kind of Spy ware is trying to use a connection to ghs.l.google.com to steel my Google cookies? Thanks!

What if the google is pointing ghs.google.com. and not ghs.l.google.com. Any idea what will the IP?

When i configure CNAME / A record in my 1and1 domain DNS settings, it does not work.

Again as I mentioned above, my domain is configured with 2 private name servers provided by my Hosting provider. So, do I need to configure the CNAME/A record in my Hosting Provider by any chance, if so how..?

I’ve jinishans.com registered with 1and1.

I’m trying to setup blogs.jinishans.com using ghs.google.com. The thing is, I’ve 2 private name servers setup in 1and1 for my hosting a/c with my hosting provider.

Now, when i try to create blogs.jinishans.com and give ghs.google.com in CNAME, it does not work.

How to configure my blogs.jinishans.com to ghs.google.com, pl. let me know
