Twitter reports
A magnitude 4.7 earthquake shook a large stretch of Southern California at 8:39 p.m. centered near Lennox, between Inglewood and Hawthorne … Lasting about 15 seconds, the tremblor could be felt as far away as the High Desert, Indio, Carpinteria and San Diego County.”
I just glanced at GoogleNews and saw this from the LA Times, but didn’t check to see what the earliest mainstream press report was.
Ofcourse there is a difference between an excited and not too informative tweet and a more mainstream press report that reflects seismology reports.
